Frode

Owner

Frode is the 7th generation that has the farm in his Family since the the late 17th Century. He loves golf and horses, and is a perfect combination of a worker, dreamer, gründer and a visionary do-er.

He speaks Norwegian, English and a bit of German.

Kjersti

Administration Manager

Kjersti came to Hov Gård around new year’s 23/24 and is working as an administration manager. She spends most of her days by the computer, but she also fills in where it’s needed; feeding the horses, lighting the sauna, driving the traktor, waitering in the restaurant, guiding riding tours and whatever needs to be done when it’s needed. She has a solid background from restaurant, farms and stable work.

She speaks Norwegian and English, and understands both some French, German and Italian.

Mariana og Vytas

Head Chefs

Mari and Vytas are from Brazil og Lithuania and carry a solid experience from different kitchens and cuisines in Europa. They came to Hov around springtime 2024, with an enthusiasm, knowledge, professionality and taste that has lifted the restaurant to the next level. Låven now serves as one of the best restaurants in the area, and then some. They stand by their pots and pans almost every day, except when they enjoy some well-deserved time off.

They speak English, Portuguese, Spanish, Lithuanian and French, in addition to this beautiful between-humans language that very good restaurant people are in the magic know of.

Sarah

Lead Guide

Sarah is our Danish super lead guide, taking care of all our horses best way possible. She has busy days organizing herself and the other guides to make sure all the horses get their rest, their food, their training and their shoes, to mention some things. In addition to that she also plans their workdays, and which horses best fits the right guests. On top of that, she’s also the lead guide of our popular Multi Day Tours.

She speaks Danish, English and horse.

Ondrej

Driver and farm worker

Ondrej came to us from Chech Republic almost a decade ago. He’s in control of all types of machines, fire alarm systems, internet and so on, and the man with a plan if anything or anyone is in need of some extra attention, it be oil for an engine, food for some horses or simply an ear if there’s a need for a colleague. He’s making sure the fences are where they should be, teaching new staff everything they need to know about different systems and local information and he’s also keeping the farm open when it comes to snow shoveling and such. He’s also our driver that takes care of our guests and makes sure they are picked up and delivered where and when they should.

He speaks Chech, English, Norwegian, Polish and then some.
