Experience a weekend on horseback in Lofoten!

Friday: Welcome and get to know the guides and horses

We pick you up at Leknes or Svolvaer airport and drive to Hov to check in at Hov Guesthouse. A delicious welcome dinner will be enjoyed in our Låven Restaurant.

After dinner we’ll meet the horses and go for our first ride together: Northern lights tour. This is an easy ride (about 2 hours) to become familiar with the guides and horses. Hopefully, we will get to see the northern lights!

Saturday: Vestvågøy and Aalan Gard Cheese Farm

Day trip from the Viking Museum at Borg to Aalan cheese farm. A 5–6-hour ride including ecological lunch at Aalan Gard. We’ll get to taste many of their famous goat cheeses. Medium/demanding tour.

Sunday: Full day tour at Gimsøy

Day trip on Gimsøy. We’ll ride on the old Viking Road, go for a stroll at the Vinje beach and enjoy lunch on tour with our horses. Medium/demanding tour. A 5–6-hour ride depending on the weather conditions and riders.

Transport to airport after the tour.

Additional: We can arrange sightseeing tours and other activities in Lofoten for an additional cost.

Deposit and payments

Final payment must be made 4 weeks before the tour date.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be given in writing and will be charged as follows:

• Tours can be cancelled up to 6 weeks prior to the tour date with no cancellation fee.
• Cancellations with 6-2 weeks’ notice will be charged 50% of the total amount.
• Cancellation with less than 2 weeks’ notice will be charged 100% of total amount.
